Consumer Support Grant (CSG)

The Consumer Support Grant is a state-funded alternative to medical assistance home care programs.  CSG participants receive monthly cash grants, through a Fiscal Support Entity like Orion ISO to purchase services, goods and supports. This may include things like staffing, therapy, equipment and supplies, diet and nutrition and transportation.  The CSG allows families and individuals to pay people they know and trust to provide care for their loved one, like parents, spouses, family members, friends and neighbors.

Orion ISO’s services under the CSG include:

• Providing the payroll services, including processing employee’s timesheets, issuing paychecks and handling the withholding and depositing of payroll taxes
• Handling expense and reimbursements of goods and services
• Providing monthly spending reports on the use of the grant.
