May 2011 - Rebecca Hage Thomley Recieved the 2011 "Disaster Relief Hero Award" from the American Red Cross, Twin Cities Area Chapter
Dr. Rebecca Hage Thomley received the 2011 "Disaster Relief Hero Award" from the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area Chapter. The award was presented to her as "an individual who exhibited heroic efforts in response to a disaster" for her volunteer work with the American Red Cross and Headwaters Relief Organization
April 2011 - Headwaters Relief Organization Responds for a Second Time to the Threat of Red River Flooding
Headwaters Relief Organization sent a group of eight volunteers to the Fargo / Moorhead area on April 7th, in response to the threat of Red River flooding in the region. While there, the volunteers worked on the sandbagging efforts.

March 2011 - Rebecca Hage Thomley Featured on Phil Bolsta's Blog: Triumph of the Spirit: Finding Peace and Purpose in a Chaotic World
Rebecca Hage Thomley and her work through Headwaters Relief Organization, in New Orleans, the Midwest and Haiti was featured on Phil Bolsta's blog at bolstablog.wordpress.com. In the article, Rebecca discusses her commitment to serving others, because it is "the right thing to do." May 2011 - Headwaters Relief Organization's Fourth Trip to Haiti
Headwaters Relief Organization volunteers returned to Haiti for a fourth time, from May 2nd through May 4th.
The volunteer's first goal was to deliver computers and printers to "Jaguar's" orphanage in Port Au Prince. The equipment is intended to assist with the children's education as well as to set up internet services for the local community. The orphanage will charge a nominal fee for internet usage which will be able to generate an income to be used to purchase food and other necessities for the children.

Rebecca Hage Thomley, our organization's Chief Executive Officer, was recognized by Finance & Commerce newspaper as a 2011 "Minnesota on the Move," at an event sponsored by MidCountry Bank and Finance & Commerce newspaper, on April 7, 2011.

Orion Associates received a "Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award," presented by the Minnesota Psychological Association, on April 1, 2011, during the Minnesota Psychological Association's 75th Anniversary Convention in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
February / March 2011 - Headwaters Relief Organization's Third Trip to Haiti
On February 25, 2011, a group of eleven Headwaters Relief Organization volunteers embarked on a third, week long, trip to Haiti. They arrived in Port Au Prince and stayed in Montrouis, Haiti, located an hour and half outside of the capitol.
