Personal Supports

Personal Supports is a traditional service option available to people on the developmental disabilities waiver that provides unlicensed staffing support.  People may choose to utilize other waivered services in addition to Personal Supports such as Unlicensed Respite, Homemaker or Transportation. Because Personal Supports is not a habilitative service, an individual must also have one paid or unpaid habilitative service built into thier service plan.

Personal Supports is a flexible service that allows individuals much control and decision making over their services in terms of how they are provided and who will provide them. Under this program, Orion ISO is the employer of the direct service staff and the consumer or their authorized representative will be involved in the selection, training, supervision and scheduling of the staff.
