Emily received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota.
Emily’s passion for serving those with special needs began when she was young helping her mom at work with the adaptive bowling team. Emily worked her way through college as support staff for multiple families and after graduating worked as a Program Manager for group homes in the Twin Cities and at an adult day program. Emily also spent 5 years in the financial industry.
Emily enjoys being outdoors in all capacities: hiking, kayaking, winter snow walks, running by the chain of lakes, and more. She also likes spending time with friends playing board games, roller skating, binge watching the newest hit show, and traveling, especially to Denver to visit family.
“I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it’s proactive and there is positive intent behind it.”
