Marya Hage

Our founder and Advisory Board Chair Marya Hage was announced as a winner of a prestigious 2014 Women in Business Award by theMinneapolis/St.Paul Business Journal on April 9, 2014. The Business Journal Women in Business project recognizes 50 women professionals and business owners each year for their career achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community. Editors selected the winners from hundreds of nominations. Honorees were featured in the May 30 Women in Business publication and at a high-profile luncheon on May 29, 2014.

“We nominated Marya Hage for the Women in Business award, in recognition of the remarkable achievement of her career as a pioneer and leader in the provision of services to people with disabilities in Minnesota,” said Stephen Hage, CAO for Orion Associates and its related companies. “Marya Hage has lived a life of service to the community as active member of public organizations, including the League of Women Voters, the Sons of Norway and her church vestry. She has served actively with the Red Cross as a volunteer psychologist, posted in many locations after disasters, most significantly for her, at the Pentagon after 9/11. That which is most significant, however, was that she founded her organization on the principle that a truly successful organization is one that is successful both in its line of business, but also as an employer and as a contributor to the community.”
